Here are 5 talking points from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season Final Trailer:

Finally, Lord Sauron came out of his hiding

“It is lost, but it will return. You will finally know who you really are, because you are Lord Sauron.” LOTR fans have been eagerly awaiting the entry of Sauron since he was repeatedly mentioned and ruthlessly harassed throughout The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. In the season finale trailer of 2 minutes 35 seconds, we get a little glimpse of the evil enemy, dressed as a King, as his loyal army greets a hero. Fans of The Force are sure to anticipate the awaited showdown between Galadriel (Morphed Clark) and Lord Sauron, given how the former went through Hell and High Waters to take revenge on the enemy, which is the reason behind it. The death of her beloved brother and as we learned in Episode 7, her husband Celeborn. It’s also Galadriel, who firmly believes that Sauron lurks in the shadows, waiting for the right time to strike.

The stranger’s identity has been revealed

“I’m not a god. At least not yet.” There was a lot of mystery about who the Stranger (Daniel Wyman) really was, with the general opinion being Gandalf. In the season finale trailer, we’re queasy that The Stranger’s identity will finally be revealed for good. How these factors in Harfoots, especially Nori (Markella Kavenagh) and Poppy (Megan Richards) is another aspect to look out for.

Forging power rings

“We are about to forge a new kind of power.” What was teased straight from the title and by Celebrimbor (Charles Edward), we finally saw the formation of the Rings of Power as revealed in the season finale trailer. It is known how Doreen IV (Owen Arthur) challenges his father King Doreen III (Peter Mullan) and helps his best friend Elrond (Robert Aramayo) to stop the extinction of the elves by making use of the Dwarvish mithril.

Heroes will fall

When you relate to The Lord of the Rings, there will surely be heartbreaking victims, both good and bad. With an ominous warning from “Heroes Will Fall” in the season finale trailer, it depends heavily on which side you’re on. Because they both think they are the protagonist of the story. Many characters from The Rings of Power like Galadriel and Elrond will surely make it alive, because they are key players in the LOTR world. Thus, it will be interesting to see who will die at the end of the season. It should be noted that Episode 7 caused the uproar of losing Isildur (Maxim Baldry) and seriously injured Halbrand (Charlie Vickers).

The last alliance between elves and men

“There is more at stake here than just our lives. Fight with me. For all of Middle-earth.” In Episode 7, Galadriel returns to Lyndon with Halbrand in his drag, and will meet again with Elrond – who was expelled by King Doreen III of Khazad-dome – and Gil Galad (Benjamin Walker). Given how Merrill (Cynthia Aday Robinson) had promised Galadriel that the Númenóreans would meet with her again to fight the enemy, it would be interesting to see how Elendil (Lloyd Owen), who is now deeply resentful towards Galadriel over the loss of his son Isildur factor in The big picture with elves and men meeting together.

Special Notice:

Although not seen in the season finale trailer, fans are curious to learn more about Halbrand, now considered king of the Southlands, and exactly what happened in the past that makes him the hero and villain of his story.

As he promised in the trailer, “everything will be revealed.”
