Stan Sakai Expands the World of “Usagi Yojimbo” Using Dogu Imprint • AIPT

Dark Horse Comics has announced a new partnership with Stan Sakya Publishing Dogo Publishing under a new imprint called Dogu. Dark Horse has worked with Sakai for decades in publishing Sakai Usagi Yojimbo long story. The new footprint aims to create a space for up-and-coming creators and artists while expanding the world of Usagi Yojimbo.

“I am so excited, honored, and grateful to have my own publishing imprint with Dark Horse,” says Sakai. “As the creator and sole owner of Usagi Yojimbo, this is a significant achievement. I have known Mike Richardson for over 30 years and he is one of the pioneers and champions of intellectual property owned by creators. Milwaukee, Raw (September 7, 2022) –Dark Horse Comics is pleased to announce a new partnership with Dogo Publishing in Stan Sakai. The Usagi YojimboThe world of comics and more will return to the Dark Horse under the umbrella of a new imprint, Dogu. The announcement of this new partnership comes ahead of the launch of the second season of the popular Netflix animated series on the first of September. samurai rabbit: Usagi records, based on the world Usagi Yojimbo Created by Sakai.

Jeremiah (Vice President of Business Development, Stan Lee; Vice President of Business Development, Boxes; Co-Founder of Fanmio) brings knowledge of the industry, along with his forward-looking vision and business acumen. He is also co-founder of the successful entertainment/tech platform Fanmio, which hosts celebrity interactions and sells merchandise directly to the consumer. He has exciting plans to imprint.

Having Julie, Daniel, Jeremiah and Amy in business and creative support roles has been a welcome addition to my brand.
