They arrive three years after the release of their last full album We are not your typeanticipation for The end so far He made us sit on the edge of our seats, hungry searches for any bits of information to try to figure out what that might look like. Fortunately, over the past year, Team Nine have been slowly drip-feeding us, as when striker Corey Taylor assured us all in an interview We’re going to get “Extreme Brutal Fucking Nonsense”.
Earlier this month, the leader of Iwan Metal said that The end so far will be even “Darker” than the previous one and “like a heavier version of Volume 3.” As we were previously told, it will contain audio clips from “Different moons around different planets”And that would be “f**king freaks people out”.
Although the Slipknot guitarist Jim Root recently revealed a problem with the albumNoting that he thought the band could have taken “more time in pre-production and rolled out a better product,” it all sounded remarkably promising for the most part. But does it live up to the hype?
we will, metal hammer Description of Bibliography Dannii Llevers The end so far Like “the sound of a squad still digging its own way out of sonic carnage, right at the top of their game,” and “nihilistic, tough and cheerfully destructive as ever” in a glowing 8/10 review. In other words, we I think it’s great. However, as always, the internet has spawned a range of enthusiastic opinions across the spectrum – some positive, some angry, some downright funny.
One fan replied to a tweet from the band: “This one easily smokes your last two albums.” “Great show this time. Loved most of the songs on the album!”
“It’s very good,” another tweeted. get rich in mind cellAnd the a guarantee And the Medicine for the dead great. I like it more than. 5: The Gray Chapter And the WANIC.“
“Dark, experimental, vampire [sic], heavy “flowed other.” I love this shit.
Some weren’t too keen and were a little over the top expressing it.
“Okay, that sucked up my whole ass,” exasperated one (former?) fan. “I was looking forward to this until it ends up being the biggest hot piece of trash I thought you could release. It’s just a bad ‘dad rock’. So if that’s what you guys were after, congratulations on the album. If not, Delete it and try again.”
“I have to be honest, I would probably blush for this… but I actually didn’t like it,” said another. “I’m a huge fan of knots, but this one feels flat.”
It might have been expected that some of the “soft” material on the album has prompted comparisons to Cory Taylor’s other band.
One fan suggested “I love Slipknot but I’m not going to lie, I felt like this album was half Slipknot and half sour stone on LSD.” “I’ve always loved the band but this album was so different to me. I wanted more weight.”
Others have mocked those seemingly petty that the band over their 25 years of career may have evolved somewhat since the early days.
“It’s really fun hearing the opinion of parents over 30 years old complain about not having the same sound as Iowa or Selftitled,” said one fan. “I mean, it’s not a perfect album but it’s not bad either, no band or artist has a perfect row of music, it’s called evolution.”
One soundtrack on the album in particular got people talking a lot – AdderallAnd the opening song The end so far A stark departure from anything the band has done before. Taking into account the atmospheric and indie elements of electronica during its nearly six-minute runtime, comparisons have been drawn to everyone from Radiohead to Gorillaz — and Slipknot fans don’t know what to do with it.
“I love Slipknot with all my heart, but I don’t know what to do with myself Adderall, “Someone joked.” I was ready to get in my car, but I waited anxiously…my bewilderment was like no other. “
Honestly, so funny by Slipknot to name the first song on their album Adderall [an ADHD medication] and to be the quietest, most adorable song they’ve ever done,” another noted.
“Adderall Another claimed it was a strange editorial. I was expecting the Slipknot opener to be atmospheric or heavy as damn! no whatever Adderall I was.”

Incredible storytelling on this album – great experience – no idea of those people criticizing this album negatively – in my opinion it’s one of their best. Sure, I loved it to small portions. However, one may have to listen to it multiple times to get to it.September 30, 2022
Well, that sucked completely ass. I was looking forward to this eventually becoming the biggest hot piece of trash I thought you could release. It’s just a bad “dad rock”. If that’s what you guys were after, congratulations on the album. If not, delete it and try again.September 30, 2022
“Adderall” is totally different, almost like the Radiohead song, I love it.September 30, 2022
I have to be honest, I would probably blush for this.. but I actually didn’t like it. I’m a huge fan of knots, but this one feels flat.September 30, 2022

I love Slipknot but I’m not going to lie I felt this album was half Slipknot and half sour stone on LSD I’ve always loved the band but this album was a very different listening to me. I wanted more heft! But that’s just my opinion good job regardless of friends 💜💚😎👍September 30, 2022
It’s really fun to hear about 30+ parents complain about not having the same sound as Iowa or Selftitled, I mean it’s not a perfect album but it’s not bad either, no band or artist has a perfect music class, it’s called Evolution.September 30, 2022
I feel like it had a lot of potential, a lot of really fiery and cool songs started out but fell out or got too repetitive with the long playing time. Not enough metal and too much melody rocker in my opinion and I just don’t deal with that. 4/10.September 30, 2022
Adderall. Adderall was a weird opener, I was expecting the Slipknot opener to be atmospheric or heavy as damn! No matter what Adderall was, the Hive Mind was pretty cool too, but they took off nonetheless! They also kept doing this episode of almost every song, it felt like 3/4September 30, 2022
