Nightwing brings back McDaniel, Janine, Leonardi, and more for a BIG 100

Nightwing artists from the ’90s come together to this day for a massive ode to Dick Grayson in issue number 100 from Bludhaven protector.

After debuting multiple covers for the Centenary, including special variants honoring the creator of Dick Grayson’s first non-Robin costume, the late George Perez, CBR has the exclusive reveal of DC’s Order night suite Number 100. Written by Tom Taylor, this issue features a main story illustrated by the series’ regular artist Bruno Redondo, while welcoming back Rick Leonardi, Scott McDaniel, Mikel Janine and Javier Fernandez, all of whom put their own stamp on Dick Grayson. CBR can also roll out a variable Redondo acetate cap for night suite #100, featuring both Masked and Unmasked Dick alongside Barbara Gordon/Batgirl.

Honoring Dick Grayson’s legacy

Leonardi and McDaniel illustrated Nightwing’s long-running solo series from the 1990s, which began in 1996 and ran through 2009 for a total of 155 issues. The series introduced a number of concepts that Taylor has since brought back into modern continuity, including Nightwing’s home base in Bloodhaven. Janine explained Dick’s spying career as Spyral Agent In the Grayson The series ran from 2014 to 2016, while Fernandez chronicled the adventures of the hero when he returned to the identity of Nightwing in a new series at the start of DC’s Rebirth initiative in 2016.
