Laliga, Spain’s premier soccer league, has announced the launch date for Laliga Golazos, the NFT (non-fungible token) platform. The platform, created in partnership with Dapper Labs, will allow users to purchase NFTs with videos of the most memorable goals from 2005 to the present.

Laliga, Spain’s premier soccer league, enters the world of digital collectibles. company recently announce Launching their own NFT platform, Laliga Golazos. The service, launched in partnership with NBA Top Shots developer Dapper Labs, aims to connect fans with some of the most iconic moments in Spanish football.
Laliga Golazos aims to provide videos of the league’s greatest moments and games, from 2005 to the present. The name Golazos comes from the Spanish word “gol” meaning goal, referring to the best scoring moments in the history of the league. NFTs will allow users to view multiple angles of some games, and listen to the official gameplay narrative.
According to a press release, the moments will include “amazing dribbles and skills, extraordinary assists, brilliant saves, brilliant defensive actions, and goals celebrated by millions of fans around the world.” Each of these moments will have a degree of rarity, with rare ones seeing less release than others, and they will be released on top of the Flow blockchain, which is said to be optimized for this type of application.
About the new platform, Jorge Urrutia del Pozo, General Manager of Laliga Golazos told Dapper Labs:
Laliga Golazos will enable fans to own a piece of Laliga’s history and participate in a whole new kind of football community that recognizes and rewards them for their fan base.
The platform is currently in closed beta and is expected to launch its first NFT drop on October 27.
Laliga’s digital approach
This is just the latest in a series of product launches and partnerships that Laliga is currently developing to increase the target audience for its business and awaken the interest of new generations in the league.
Earlier this month, the company also announced the release of partnership With Globant, an Argentine software company, to build digital products in the Web3 and metaverse domains. Also, the company has licensed Its IP (Intellectual Property) will be embedded in Decentraland, offering various experiences on part of the Ethereum-based metaverse platform.
